Plain Air is Dick Zunkel's first book featuring over 70 cartoons about art and artists. It contains a narrative about the creativity and method of drawing and adding color to cartoons.
Breathing Plain Air uses cartoons from the original book, reformatted or redrawn and enlarged to fill the page. The book contains many previously unpublished drawings without narrative other than the introduction.
